What are the differences between sperm that carry X and Y chromosomes? I’ll tell you

Most people know that there are some differences between the chromosomes in the sperm that will produce a girl and those that will produce a baby boy. However, many don’t know exactly what these differences are or how you can use them to your advantage to help you conceive of the gender you want. I will explain the different characteristics and how they affect whether you conceive a girl or a boy in the next article.

Differences in sperm chromosomes lie in the man or father who will be: A lot of people already realize this, but I’m going to say it anyway. The female always brings an X chromosome to the process. This does not change. It is the man who contributes both X and Y. So, considering that the mom-to-be will always have an X, you would either get XX (which would produce a girl) or XY (which would produce a son).

The main differences in the X and Y chromosomes: The most notable and important difference between the two is longevity. Like in real life, girls live longer than boys. X sperm can last days longer than Y sperm. In addition, Y sperm is more vulnerable to changes in the environment or to obstacles it will have to overcome. If you’re only looking at strength and longevity, then the X or female sperm wins in this case.

In terms of speed though, then the Y is the clear winner. X sperm are the slower of the two. And I think this is nature’s way of ensuring that things, and the number of boys and girls in the population, are approximately equal. Because if sperm Y had both strength and speed, that would be an unfair advantage. But if the X sperm had both, obviously we would have many more girls than boys. They each have their strengths and weaknesses to ensure that things are mostly balanced.

How you can use these differences to influence the gender of your baby: The fact that the result of these differences is that, for the most part, the same number of boys and girls thought, does not mean that there is nothing you can do to modify the process. If you want to conceive a girl, you can certainly take advantage of the short lifespan of Y sperm. And, if you want to conceive a boy, you can certainly take advantage of the slow speed of X sperm.

There are a couple of things you might want to look at. The first is time. For a girl baby, she wants to give sperm Y an extended period of time during which they won’t be able to stay. So, she wants to conceive early, that is, before ovulation. The opposite is true if you want a boy. You want the sperm not to have to wait for the egg for even a second. Every second counts for you. Therefore, you will want to wait until ovulation has already occurred.

Because Y sperm are so vulnerable to the environment around them, you’ll want to adjust your PH to be as high as possible if you’re trying to have a daughter. But, if you want a sound, then you want to set your PH very low. This can be done through the food you eat or through the showers you use, or both.

Finally, the intercourse positions you use also play a small role. Shallow penetration is said to favor X’s because it gives Y’s more travel.
