The wonders of being grandparents

There are many milestones associated with birth. Your first child is a big milestone. While not as important, her first grandchild is also a wonderful milestone. When you reach it, you are a grandfather.

While this is an unfortunate sign of aging, it is the most welcome sign of aging. Grandparents and grandchildren are natural allies. They have the most important thing in common. Namely, the one in the middle, the father of the baby and the son of the grandparents. This person unites the two as their link and their common adversary. While this may seem unfortunate for the parent in the middle, it works quite well in practice.

Grandparents should enjoy their grandchildren. Not only are they the automatic ‘I told you so’ to their own children, the two have a beneficial relationship. Grandchildren remind grandparents of youth and the need for exercise. Grandparents guide newborn grandchildren and share in the wonders of the world.

In some cases, grandparents are better at leading than parents. They have more experience with children. They have more time to pay attention to the children because they are often retired, while the parents are busy at work. These two advantages make naturalrs or mentors who advise always willing to listen.

It is incredibly fun to make up fantastic stories for your grandchildren. They will believe it and have not yet learned to mock. However, while it’s fun, mentoring your grandchild comes with responsibility. Don’t let your children (the baby’s parents) carry the weight alone. God only knows what irresponsible things they can teach their grandchildren.

Shape the mind of children. Teach them about the wonders and dangers of the world. Take them to a park and play. Name the insects that fly through the air and teach the children how to catch them. Help them identify problems like wasps and children. Play simple games and teach children sportsmanship and other values.

Experience is the trump card of grandparents. You will know more about the world than anyone. Teach them about the history you have lived. Show them the traps you have found and, above all, the lessons you have learned.

Teach your grandchildren about your hobbies. If you don’t have one, try to take one. This will give you one more thing to share with the child. If you like quilting, they make a wonderful gift for your grandchildren, as well as something to show off your creativity. Gardening, cooking, collecting, etc. they are all interesting hobbies for you and your grandson.

Grandparents are a source of wisdom and fun. Be that way with your grandson.
