Windows 7 basic functions

Windows 7 is the last version of Microsoft’s operating systems to succeed Vista. The release is packed with important features that users and readers on the download team are familiar with. However, average users may experience some assimilation difficulties. This is because several of them are unaware of the great features carried over from previous versions of Windows.

Most of the average users may not be familiar with the five basic functions, while most of them spend their time learning about the advanced functions. It’s good to make sure you know the five basic features that will save you time, protect your data, and keep all malware and computer viruses at bay.

The first basic feature is the search box in the start menu. Most users complain of having a hard time finding something. Once you type what you need in this box, it will instantly appear in the start menu. The search box doesn’t just work with your start menu, it also works with anything on the computer. Your favorite melodies, emails and missing notes. You will be surprised to find out how easy it will be to access theme settings, system information, printers, and much more. By now, you should find the box very easy to use.

The next feature of the release is pinning items. This task had always been easy, since you only had to use the start menu. However, in version, it expands to the taskbar. This shouldn’t discourage you; Drag all those shortcuts scattered on your desktop to the taskbar. This discovers them from the open Windows program.

Windows 7 has an efficient built-in backup tool. Once you connect a USB hard drive, it will ask if it will be used as a backup tool. Next, create a job to back up your files to the drive and start the initial run. After this, you will always have the option to play your work every time you plug in the drive. This also ensures that your files are safe.

Create your own system using the system image. This involves taking a snapshot of your entire system, which includes Windows, programs, pictures, music, and documents. The plugin is then stored in case something disastrous happens. Even when your hard drive fails, the system image can be restored to a new drive. However, it is recommended that you save the image to an external drive or network device instead of DVDs.

Windows 7 offers several user accounts in addition to the guest and administrator accounts provided by earlier versions of Windows. Once you form a standard user account, you are protected against malicious software and rogue antivirus programs, as files and folders will be inaccessible.

Other features include the desktop, explorer, start menu, taskbar, mouse gesture management, keyboard shortcuts, font and device management, which together with Windows explorer provide a view simple of any device that is connected to the computer.
