MACBETH
In this book, there is no doubt that Macbeth is a tragic hero. The flow of his upheaval during his upbringing, his ambitious life brings about his downfall. The evil in him is symbolized by his over-ambition and his ambition alone was one of the devil’s main vices which brought about mischievous destruction in Macbeth’s character where he had been driven to be enterprising by supernatural spirits. Shakespeare has treated ambition in this context as pride, jealousy, and rebellion against the will of God. Macbeth had killed his righteous king for money and power and ultimately inflicted the kingdoms of frustration and abuse on the people who were the silent evidence of his evil deeds.
