What are the top trends witnessed by the Microsoft Azure cloud platform in 2016?

In August 2016, the Gartner Magic Quadrant selected Microsoft Azure as the industry leader in cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS). Almost 90% of Fortune 500 companies are using cloud services provided by MS Azure 2016. Notable companies using Azure for cloud computing include Oracle, SAP, Rolls-Royce, NBC News channel, BMW and GE Healthcare, to name just a few. The main reason for choosing Azure is its effective management of physical servers and cloud data centers. Interested? Join the MS Azure training and get familiar.

These are the Microsoft Azure trends for 2016:

Azure supports up to 32 TB for SAP HANA database server

Microsoft has created a working partnership with SAP, which provides a proven business platform for running and managing SAP resources. Whether working in a development or test environment, with Microsoft Azure 2016, users can reap the benefits of high scalability and reduced costs on SAP HANA workloads. In November 2016, Microsoft announced up to 32 TB of storage for SAP HANA-optimized OLAP (online analytical processing) software and up to 4 TB for online transaction processing (OLTP) software. Every developer and test engineer will now have the flexibility and power to work on data-intensive software applications in real-time scenarios.

Microsoft announces the availability of Azure N-Series

With overwhelmingly positive customer feedback on the Azure VM series, including A, D, Dv2, F, G and H, Microsoft Azure is now set for the December 2016 global launch of its N series. Azure N provides virtual machines with graphics processing unit (GPU) capabilities with the NVIDIA® platform. To meet rapidly growing demands, workloads and data centers must be equipped to handle artificial intelligence, remote and 3D viewing, advanced research, graphics rendering, and more. Azure N-Series provides the power to drive the high-performance computing needed for in-depth medical research, GPU-enabled learning and training models, and much more.

Microsoft’s Hybrid Use Advantage is Cost-Effective

Buying cloud computing services for large companies is always an expensive task. To mitigate this cost burden, Microsoft introduced the MS Azure Hybrid Use Benefit (AHUB). With the help of AHUB, customers can use their local Windows server license (with software guarantee) to work with MS Azure. Regardless of data center and workload storage space, AHUB provides support for Windows Server virtual machines at a reduced price. With AHUB, users can save up to 44% of their annual expenses on a single virtual machine.
