Was there a Batman and a female Robin?

Batman & Robin is still hugely popular, with a comic book run of almost a century, the famous TV show from the 1960s, animated series, and a host of movies, both blockbuster and extremely good. Fans number in the millions, and the Batman and Robin outfit is very popular for costume parties and Halloween.

Traditionally, women have dressed as Bat Girl and Cat Woman, among others, and the variety of costumes has been excellent. Lately, however, there has been a lot of interest in Robin outfits for women. However, Robin was a boy, right? Well, right and wrong. Read on for the full story.

Dick Grayson, the original Robin and the ward of millionaire Bruce Wayne, was the original Robin. He debuted in 1940’s DC Comics and was a regular on the ’60s TV show. Eventually, he retired to pursue other superhero interests.

The second Robin was Jason Todd from 1983 to 1988, and he was a good Robin, albeit short-lived. He was eventually killed by the treacherous Joker. Tim Drake was the fourth Robin and quite a complex one. Let’s just say his father eventually forced him to retire and hang up his cloak. However, his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Stephanie Brown, discovered Batman.

She sneaked into the Batcave and convinced Batman to train her, and she became the fourth Robin. So yes, there was a female Robin, and it would be fair to say that she was extremely attractive. Dressing up as an extremely attractive Robin is headed for reality, or at least comic book reality!
