Tips for Creating Your Own Halloween Graveyard

If it’s Halloween and you’re planning to decorate your house in a Halloween theme, you might be wondering if you can make a Halloween graveyard in your own backyard. You may have answered this question ‘yes’, but you didn’t get around to implementing it because it would require too much effort or expense on your part. Hesitate no more, though, because there is a simple and affordable way to make a Halloween graveyard.

Making a Halloween graveyard requires you to have a few basic things. The following is a list.

1. hay
2. Cardboard
3. Thermocol sheet
4. gray paint
5. Black marker
6. Surgical glove (optional)
7. Gelatin (optional)
8. Coat of arms (optional)
9. Stick (optional)

The following are the steps to make a Halloween graveyard in your own backyard or garden.

1. Take the hay and arrange it in such a way that it looks like a burial mound. This can be done by making the mound of hay and then covering it with a sheet and soil.

2. After this you must cut cardboard and thermocol in the shape of the tombstones you need. The cardboard will need to be glued on top of the thermocol to make it smooth while using the thermocol to make the tombstone a bit chunky.

3. Paint the half-finished headstone with granite paint. You can also use black paint to make it look old and aged. Once the paint dries, you can write some epitaphs on the headstones. The content of the epitaphs depends on your preferences. For example, they can be scary or funny. This tombstone can now be placed at the head of the caern.

4. You can also make the graveyard even scarier by doing the following:

A. Take some shields and fill them with hay and a stick to make them look like arms.
b. These arms would end in jelly-filled surgical gloves.
You can place this newly conjured arm on any of your graves to make it look like a corpse is trying to climb out of the grave.
d. It should also be noted that the jelly will cause the hand to move at the slightest disturbance, such as wind or a pet. Also, you can position your hand at multiple angles to give a variable effect.

If you repeat the above steps a few times, you can turn your yard or lawn into a horrifyingly scary Halloween graveyard. Also, even your kids will enjoy helping you with this whole adventure, as the dead arm will be a source of fun for them. Graveyards and graves are an intrinsic part of Halloween and every child should have one for at least one Halloween from their childhood. Now you can give your child fun-filled memories of him playing with his friends in the graveyard made by his father or mother.
