With the release of the new movie, the idea of an end of the world in 2012 is becoming more and more legitimate in many people’s minds. Find out today what the safe places will be in 2012 and where you should live in 2012 if the predictions come true! First, let’s see where you don’t want to be!
Avoiding the Apocalypse!
It’s no wonder that when the idea of the end of the world comes up, the first thing people think about is where the safe places to hide will be. The unfortunate truth is that no one can say for sure, however there is some information that gives us the best estimate of where you don’t want to be.
United States / Canada: Unfortunately, there is a great deal of conflicting information regarding this area of the world. Edgar Cayce suggested Virginia as a safe haven, however a wealth of information now suggests that if a polar shift occurs, North America will become the new North Pole! Even with Florida sitting on the cusp of the new Arctic Circle. Not to mention the supervolcano below Yellowstone, which would likely explode and destroy most of the continent, making the air unbreathable.
If this weren’t bad enough, the number of nuclear power plants that would like to melt down will be phenomenal, creating a total nuclear Armageddon. Again, the US and Canada have a large number of these power plants and this again creates another reason not to stay here.
Europe: Even worse than the US / Canada is the number of nuclear power plants in Europe. If catastrophic natural disasters were to strike, this is indeed the worst place in the world to be!
Australia: Unfortunately, the 2 km high tsunamis will wipe out the majority of the population (since most live outside the continent). The interior is questionable at this point. Also, it is believed that if a pole shift occurs, Australia will also be the new south pole!
Safe places:
The mountains are believed to be the only safe places in the event of the end of the world in 2012. With all the possibilities, it is impossible to say for sure where, but with the above 3, it is believed that the mountainous areas of Africa, particularly around Morocco and the Ethiopian highlands, they will have the best opportunities. The highlands would be safe were it not for the radioactive fallout that would likely occur, the same is true for other mountainous regions of Europe. Mountains in China that are inland and far enough from any nuclear reactor would also be better than most other places.
