Phone chat taboos worth breaking

The risk is worth the reward!

Everyone has heard of Snapchat. It has been a popular app for the past two years and continues to be all the rage to this day. However, it was never used for its original purpose. Clearly, an image that is automatically deleted was being used for other purposes.

The phone chat features are still good for looking up dates and arranging plans between interested parties. There are certain things that people will tell you not to do. “Don’t be too direct or you’ll end up in the friend zone.” Or, “Never make plans you don’t intend to keep.”

There are still many taboos worth breaking!

1. Don’t talk about clothes

Many people think by asking “What are you wearing?” it’s too old fashioned question and a big turnoff. Despite this, many people look for people who care about spending time and effort on their appearance.

Also, this fact alone could end up being your trump card. You never know when someone will reply, “What do you want me to wear?” or “For you, I’m not wearing anything!”. Feel free to break this taboo. The risk to reward ratio will make it all worth it.

2. Don’t use emoji

There are certain people who say that using emojis will only end in failure. People think they are lazy, childish, or make you look immature. However, what if you could use them in a fun and playful way?

For example, nothing beats keeping the person on the other end of the line interested in what image you’re going to send next. Let the other person decipher the message their way and accept the answer! Who knows, the person may like your creativity and show interest in learning more about your humorous side.

3. Don’t be direct

Nothing in phone chat is worse than spending hours talking in slightly coded language only to realize that you both had completely different goals in mind. This just proves to be a huge waste of time for both parties. While something simple can seem boring and uninventive, sometimes nothing is more attractive than someone who just comes out and says what they feel.

Don’t be afraid to break this taboo. If you really love someone, just say so. This will not only help you get to the finish line faster, but it can also save you valuable time. Imagine the headache of trying to think of wittier things to say in 160 characters… no thanks! It takes a lot less brainpower to simply say what you’re looking for and how you really feel.

Some people say that you never learn by following the rules. Nowhere is this more true than in the world of phone chat. Everyone is different, and everyone will respond in different ways to different messages. Adapt the phone chat to your own personal wishes and needs. This will help you find that perfect person that you have been looking for for a long time.
