Step 1: set up an awesome welcome page
A welcome page is simply a one page site that has a teaser ad copy and a subscription box where a visitor who is interested in your offer can leave their name and email address to receive what you are offering.
It’s easy to set up and can be done in less than an hour.
Step 2: Offer a free quality gift
Now offering a free quality gift.
Once you identify the niche you want to exploit, simply search for or get a free product like an e-book on the subject or a subscription to a newsletter in the niche.
You can get an e-book or other similar product from countless online sources in whatever niche you are interested in researching. Just make sure the product comes with PLR or master gift rights so you can freely distribute it.
Step 3: capture the email addresses of your visitors
When a visitor lands on your home page (sometimes called a landing page or subscription page), they will read your offer and if they are interested in getting that gift, they will need to enter their name and email address in that subscription. box.
They will then be immediately taken to a download page where they can receive their gift.
And let me also tell you this … if that free eBook has a link to one of your affiliate programs embedded in it and they click on it to see your top offer, when they buy, you will receive an affiliate commission instantly!
The more visitors choose to receive your gift, the more they will download it to your hard drive. When they click on your link, whether it’s the next day, next week, or next month, any purchase made will earn you that affiliate commission that we all seek.
The goal here is to bring that gift to as many hard drives as possible so that it can stay there and attract your “subscriber” in the future.
Step 4: Give them value and information through a series of emails.
Increase your autoresponder with approximately 12-15 quality emails in your target niche, and drip feed that material at the rate of one email every other day. Make sure it’s good content and informative to your readers.
For the first three or four emails, do not offer any affiliate products because you are building trust with your target audience.
After the fourth email, you can start inserting an affiliate link in your pre-programmed emails for an affiliate product that you may be promoting. When a subscriber clicks on that link and buys your product, they will earn another affiliate commission.
That’s all it takes to generate your residual income if the product you’re promoting is a membership-type service that requires a monthly fee to participate.
Step 5: drive traffic to your signup page
This step is simple but complicated if you think too hard at this stage.
All you have to do is drive traffic to your site.
Sounds simple right?
Can be.
Just do your best to drive traffic to your site.
If you have a blog, post regular updates.
And remember, it is simply a numbers game. The more traffic you drive to your site, the more visitors will opt for your offer and the more sales you will generate when they click on your link. And with that comes higher affiliate commissions and a greater stream of income. And like I said earlier, if you’re promoting a membership-type service that requires a fee to join, you’ll start to generate residual income from your efforts, as well as a growing affiliate commission check.
The bigger you build your list, the more sales you will generate. The more sales you generate, the higher your residual income and the higher your overall take-home pay.
