Obesity increases pressure on the abdomen, causing stomach contents to back up into the esophagus. Also, obese people often eat too much fat. High pressure in the abdomen, combined with hormonal disorders, can also cause acid reflux during pregnancy. The problem, of course, is temporary and ceases to exist after giving birth.
  • The horizontal position: The horizontal position facilitates the reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus, so it is better not to lie down immediately after meals.

How to treat esophagitis:

  • Avoid eating large amounts of food.
