Fun with foodies

Do you love food? It’s official: I love food, so I thought a great way to spend my “free” time would be to visit all my favorite chefs, foodies, and restaurants. This way, I get to try all of their amazing food and share the latest food trends and flavors with you. I have invited my brother-in-law, Pepe, to accompany me on my adventures.

First of all, it’s French, and we all know that the French love good quality food. Secondly, he himself is a specialist cheesemaker. Ultimately, everyone who knows him loves him. He is a typical Frenchman, round and stocky. He is passionate about everything he does and really enjoys sharing cheese making and his food knowledge.

We’re going to visit a variety of people and places, from chefs to restaurant owners, food manufacturers, food growers, wine masters and much more. Pepe and I will be interviewing all these interesting and amazing people. We’ll be sure to keep writing articles to keep you up to date, and we’ll be recording Pepe’s interviews and making videos for YouTube. After all, we all love hearing a French accent.

We all seem to be more and more interested in food. Cooking has become a hobby for many of us, and cookbooks are like our new bibles. I will keep my eyes open for all the trends in the world of food. If you have any ideas of people who would be interesting to meet and interview, please let us know.

Here are some interesting trends right now:

West meets East (Western dishes flavored with Oriental spices)

Simple menus (offering fewer menu options)

Genetic modification

Clean foods (no sugar, artificial flavors, or additives added to food)

Pasta and endangered species (more restaurants are serving marrow and
vegetable ribbons, or pasta made with peas, or quinoa)

Hot is not spicy enough anymore (chili, turmeric and peri peri are being added to many more dishes

Experimental meals (including no-carb diets. There are many ways to substitute carbs, one of which is to swap mashed cauliflower for mashed potatoes.)

Cooking with fire (we call it braying, but the rest of the world calls it grilling or grilling)

Inspired ice creams (ranging from healthy to decadently pure cocktails)

And these are some of the foodies we’ve lined up to interview:

cheese maker
mushroom picker
oenologist
Coffee Connoisseur
A couple of well-known Chefs
A variety of restaurant owners.
crafts been maker
Owner of a cooking school
ice cream maker
