Until very recently, it was not possible to trace someone’s cell phone number. Well, it was, but you had to pay a lot of money for a private detective. Not only did they charge up to $200 and up, but it was also exhaustive (had to search for one first) and time consuming.

Thanks to online reverse cell phone directories, that is no longer the case! This is a relatively new addition to telecommunications and people search. These privately owned databases make it possible to trace the owner of any cell phone number even if it is not listed in the white pages.
Mobile numbers do not appear in the white pages?
Indeed they are! This is due to the ‘privacy’ factor associated with mobile phones. Cell phone companies are obligated to protect the privacy rights of their customers, so they do not publish a list of their subscribers. Therefore, this information is not ‘given’ to the public domain and you cannot get it from the white or yellow pages.
However, these private online databases are non-public domain properties containing up to a billion US citizen records.

- basically, they have everything EXCEPT extremely sensitive information like credit card and financial data, social security records, passwords, driving records, medical records, insurance records, employment history, etc.
Note of CAUTION!
There is only one thing you need to pay attention to when it comes to selecting a database. Although there are dozens of these sites online, some of them are far from complete and will only waste your time.
ALWAYS make sure the database you select covers at least 90% of cell numbers in the US. The smaller the database, the lower your chances of finding the number you are looking for. Shoot a database with at least 210 million numbers and you’ll be sure to get accurate results!
