Climate Change and the Environment: 5 Important Considerations!

Although it seems that many prefer to deny it, etc., the reality is to be prepared and proactively address the threats and ramifications of Climate Change, and take proper care of our environment and the potential threats to many aspects of life. , especially related to clean air and water, are perhaps the most essential existential threats to our world, in the short, medium and especially the long term. Shouldn’t it be the responsibility of this generation to leave a world/planet to future generations that is safer, cleaner, more sustainable, etc.? With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss 5 important considerations and logical needs that we need to address, sooner rather than later.

one. Automotive gas economy: Personally, I find it surprising and troubling, we are still discussing the need to increase car and gasoline economy, even though President Carter, in the late 1970s, warned us, and Congress, at the time, passed a wise framework , to make sure! Unfortunately, much of that progress was blocked and even reversed by President Reagan, and the guidelines have, to date, lagged behind. We do see some progress, because there has been a huge increase in the number of cars using electric and/or hybrid systems and thus reducing the dangerous and undesirable ramifications on our air quality. Although rising gas prices create immediate difficulties and challenges in the short term, it may help transform the industry, faster, to use less gasoline, etc.

two. Emissions from buildings and factories: Emissions from buildings (residential and commercial) and factories create a huge threat and undesirable impact on overall air quality! We have to insist, we have gradually introduced, on the basis, the technologies are mandatory, to address and reverse this trend! This could include converting much more and faster to alternative fuel sources, using filtration, etc., which addresses and cleans emissions before they are released into the environment.

3. Fuel supplies: We need to start emphasizing cleaner fuels, instead of continuing to rely on fossil fuels! The dirtiest of these is probably coal, and most of the world has agreed to phase it out, and in this nation, we have seen many mines close in recent years. We must improve and improve technologies, such as solar, wind, geothermal, and improved building designs, before it’s too late!

Four. Protect water supplies: For decades, our federal government has gradually enforced environmental protections, especially in terms of commercial and other dumping bans on water supplies, more and better water quality testing, etc., but, between In 2017 and 2020, the administration of President Donald Trump, took steps to ease regulations and allow commercial dumping into water supplies. The long-term impacts and ramifications of this approach can be devastating or nearly so, so!

5. Global Effort Needed: At a recent gathering of many nations, attendees pledged to cooperate, protect the environment and take the dangers of climate change seriously, declaring that they would implement preventive measures to achieve this. Only when all nations realize that we are in this together and use some common sense, rather than short-termism, political/populist, etc., will we be ready to tackle these existential dangers!

Or we address the causes of climate change and protect the environment in a meaningful way, without any more excuses, rhetoric, empty promises or procrastination, we will prevent unintended ramifications in the future! The United States must step forward and become a leader in the right direction!
