Accredited Online Law Schools

People looking for accredited online law schools in the US would have a hard time finding one. This is because there are no accredited web-based law schools in the country. Due to various reasons, the American Bar Association does not accredit online law schools.

However, this does not mean that an online law degree is not helpful in practicing law. The state of California allows students who have completed a sufficient number of classes at unaccredited online law schools to sit for the bar exam. However, all other US states only allow law graduates from accredited law schools to take the bar exam. Law graduates from web-based law schools in California may also apply for the bar in other states once they practice law in California for five to seven years.

All online law degree programs are designed to accommodate individuals with work and family commitments who would not be able to attend a regular law school. An online course also gives people the ability to take the course at their own pace from the comfort of their own home. People who do not have access to a regular school nearby can also benefit from an online degree course.
