What’s the deal with Klingon costumes?
You may have wondered, why don’t I have a Klingon costume yet? You may or may not have purchased the Klingon weapon of your choice yet. As for the rest of the costume, what can be done to speed up the process of getting one? Let’s look at the problems first:
#1 Cost – Depending on the quality of the costume, it can cost up to several thousand dollars to get a movie-quality costume.
#2 Quality – High quality costumes are not sold on every street corner, the less expensive ones are available in a few more places.
#3. Your Confidence: Do you have what it takes to show up at parties, conventions, etc. in a klingon costume? Can you take your personality to the next level and strut your honorable moves in front of your friends and strangers?
It all comes down to how much you want one. Whether you want to buy one and add custom materials to it, or go with the epic all the way, it really matters how much you want it. If you decide to get one, you’ll probably want to learn some good Klingon words to impress like-minded people. When you’re done with the costume for the day, be sure to keep it in a place of honor in your home. If you place it, for example, next to your Hanging Bat’leth, it will be ready and comfortable for when you urgently need it.
Five ideas for places to wear your Klingon costume:
#1. Wear it to a sci-fi convention or for cosplay. That’s a great way to get a lot of compliments from knowledgeable people.
#2. While you shop. Do you think someone will try to sneak in while you’re shopping? I doubt.
#3. At a Lions game (oh boy, you wouldn’t even see the costume with a bag over the head, sorry Lions fans)
#4. A day at the office, if you want to get up early, I recommend this for a Friday.
#5. Picture this, someone walks into his house and they see him in his full Klingon costume glory, he gives them a Klingon war cry, and then he shoots them with a disruptor.
