1979 “Anatomy of a Seduction”: Susan Flannery is a divorced woman who begins a sexual relationship with her son’s best friend, who lives right next door. The climax comes when the romance is discovered by the boy’s mother, played by Rita Moreno.
1981 “Private Lessons”: The late Sylvia Krystal’s character is paid to seduce a millionaire’s son, who is then led to believe that he killed her in the middle of their sexual relationship. The plot was pretty hard to believe, but even harder to believe was seeing Howard Hesseman as the bad guy instead of WKRP’s Dr. Johnny Fever.
1978 “Coach”: Attractive Cathy Lee Crosby is hired to coach a high school boys basketball team, eventually leading it to a championship while sleeping with one of its star players.
2000’s “All-American Girl: The Mary Kay Letourneau Story”: The title character was a married mother of four who began an affair with one of her high school students, from whom she conceived a child. Penelope Ann Miller plays the convicted sex offender in this real life portrayal who is even a judge because the seductress is a teacher.
1979 “Flesh and Blood”: Suzanne Pleshette plays the seductress in this film more disturbing than others of the time. You see, the guy she seduces turns out to be her college-age son.
1968 “Oedipus the King”: Christopher Plummer plays Sophocles’ Greek tragic hero who unknowingly marries his mother and has children with her. Lilli Palmer plays the older but sexy Jocasta, and Donald Sutherland stars as the choir leader who narrates the story.
1997’s “My Stepson, My Lover”: Rachel Ward plays a doctor who, after marrying one of her wealthy patients, begins a sexual relationship with the man’s son. The film is notable for a steamy love scene on the steps of a bungalow overlooking the lake.
1978 “Moment by Moment”: Two stars mostly associated with comedy, John Travolta and Lily Tomlin, are drawn into this serious romantic drama. Yvonne Elliman’s title song endures as a bigger hit than the film.
1967’s “The Graduate”: This Oscar-nominated classic set the standard for all older-woman seduction movies, as young Benjamin (Dustin Hoffman) rejects and then accepts the sexual advances of neighbor Mrs. Robinson ( Ann Bancroft). The comedy takes a turn when Benjamin becomes romantic with his daughter.
2006 “Notes on a Scandal”: Cate Blanchett plays a teacher who seduces one of her male students on several occasions, only to be discovered by a fellow teacher (Judi Dench) who has a crush on Blanchett’s character. Both Dench and Blanchett received Academy Award nominations for the film.
