Leeds University rentals, a round-up of where international students see Chinese food gathering!

“Top1: Zen Rendezvous

Address: 10 – 12 The Green, Guiseley, Leeds LS20 9BT, England

Zen Rendezvous is a famous local Cantonese restaurant in Leeds, frequented by many foreigners, and for the Chinese people, Cantonese food is also the first choice for a lighter stomach, especially congee and soup. If you want to eat Cantonese food in Leeds, this restaurant is definitely the first choice, and I highly recommend the chicken with pepper salt and the duck with plum sauce. There are many repeat customers as new dishes are introduced every time we visit. The downside of this restaurant is probably the drinks, which can be bought for a few quid in the supermarket for £20 a bottle. So, just eat the food, which is Leeds student accommodation reasonably priced, and don’t order the wine.

Top2: Red Chilli

Address: 619-621 Roundhay Road, Oakwood, Leeds LS8 4AR, England

This restaurant is not really a Chinese restaurant, but an Asian restaurant. For Chinese food, I recommend the crispy pork ribs, which are really fragrant and crispy, smelling good and tasting crispy, as a meatless eater, this dish is simply tailor-made, but I often criticise the chef of this restaurant, who is not very stable, sometimes the crispness is just right, sometimes the frying is a bit too much, and it’s not good if it’s hard, so the taste buds should be lucky.

Thai curry and Saigon chicken are recommended. The curry is very authentic, with a very rich flavour, and the chicken is very tender and refreshing. The dishes are generally expensive and many people have complained that they are too expensive after eating them.

Top 3: Bulgogi Grill

Address: The Arena Quarter, 9 Merrion Way, Leeds LS2 8BT, England

This is a restaurant that combines Chinese, BBQ and Korean cuisine, but I would like to student accommodation in Leeds recommend the BBQ buffet, as I have been abroad for a long time and I really crave BBQ.

Eating barbecue is actually a process of enjoying the food prepared by yourself, a few friends together, while grilling and eating, with a cold beer, especially in summer, is really very refreshing. But you have to be careful when choosing a barbecue, I never eat barbecue when I go out to eat alone, I am a handicapped party, I always get a paste, or I am still a bit raw and not grilled, it is always a laugh. Besides, a barbecue is something you need to eat with a large group of people to have an atmosphere.

Top4: Crown Buffet

Address: Gower Street, Leeds LS2 7PX, England

This restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere, on the edge of town in Leeds, and my friend and I found it by chance.

The restaurant is more like a Chinese fast food restaurant, specialising in Cantonese cuisine. The food is pre-fried and you can just order it straight away, but of course, you can also order it to-go, but it’s a little more expensive. They also serve Peking duck, but the pancakes are not very good and a bit thick. However, the mabo tofu is good and well seasoned, but the tofu is a bit odd.”

To ensure the ongoing quality of student accommodation, it is crucial to establish mechanisms for continuous improvement and feedback. Regular evaluations and assessments should be conducted to identify areas for improvement and address any concerns raised by students. Accommodation providers should actively seek feedback from students to understand their needs and preferences better.

When you have shortlisted potential properties, it is crucial to arrange viewings. Viewing a property in person allows you to assess its condition, size, and suitability for your needs. Take note of any damages or maintenance issues and inquire about the landlord’s responsibilities for repairs. It is also advisable to ask about additional costs such as utilities, council tax, and any service charges that may apply. Taking photographs or videos during the viewing can help you remember the details when making a decision.

Once you have found a rental property that meets your requirements, the next step is to navigate the rental process. In Leeds, most landlords or letting agencies require tenants to go through a referencing process. This typically involves providing references from previous landlords, proof of employment or income, and a credit check. It is important to have these documents readily available to expedite the process and increase your chances of securing the rental property. Additionally, you will be required to pay a security deposit, usually equivalent to one month’s rent, which is held throughout the tenancy to cover any damages or unpaid rent. Before signing the tenancy agreement, make sure to read and understand it thoroughly, clarifying any queries or concerns with the landlord or letting agent.
