Hobbies include the familiar, the unusual or strange, the unique, and the popular. It’s like a hobby lobby in the middle of the world.

Are there too many hobby lists to choose from? Make a personal list of who you are. What do you like to do? What is it you don’t like to do? What do you like to do? And what you will not do.
Like and love are two words that mean different things. For me, when I like something, I accept or commit to everything that it entails. Good or bad I can live with it. On the other hand, when I love something, I have discovered that once the love is gone, so is the project.
The hardest list to put together will be … who am I? It’s difficult because many times we don’t really know who we are for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you are worried about others and discover a loss of identity. You may never have taken an interest in yourself to find out who you are.
Hobbies help us discover or rediscover ourselves because you have to use your knowledge, skills and talents to bring a hobby to life. Many times your hobbies and interests go beyond your personal creative world. Make a list of hobbies and interests.
Let me tell you a short story to help emphasize this point. I have a friend who makes miniature plants. I look at them and they are cute, but this kind of hobby does not interest me. However, since she is my friend, I let her tell me how she makes her mini plants.
His face lights up with excitement as he demonstrates how he brings his plants to life. His world is exciting. But his world also has a reality because he makes other adults and children happy with his plants, as they place these trees and foliage in dollhouses, train scenes, and other miniature creations.
You will find that a hobby is something you enjoy primarily for personal rewards. So what is your personality type? Not the person you show the audience, but the real person inside.
For example, you can communicate to others that you enjoy the outdoors, however, when you are invited to join your friends on a camping trip; you make other arrangements to be elsewhere.
You enjoy the company of your friends, but your interest has changed. Camping is not your hobby, but what you prefer is to be at home painting a design on your motorcycle. This is the reason to make a list of personalities to make the pursuit of a hobby an adventure for you.
